Sony has revealed a new edition of its latest generation of Aibo robot dogs introducing the Aibo Choco Edition. This robot dog is finished in two shades of brown and sporting white paws and legs. Sony has made Aibo much harder to resist for people who love chocolate-colored dogs. The tech giant has launched a tricolor version of its robotic Aibo Choco edition with two shades of brown. The company promises to roll out a new security feature now that it has teamed up with security firm Secom, though.
The new service will give Aibo the capability to patrol the house and make sure all family members are safe and sound.
Aibo Choco Edition
While talking about from a technical standpoint, Sony developed ultracompact 1- and 2-axis actuators to bring Aibo to life. The features allow it to express its emotion and give the bot’s compact body the freedom to move along a total of 22 axes. On the other hand, its eyes utilize two OLEDs that offer nuanced expressions. Curious Aibo can actively seek out its owners, detect words of praise, smiles, head and back scratches, petting, and more. In addition to the upcoming service, the tech giant has also revealed that it’s opening up the robot’s API as well. Which means owners and third-party developers can teach the adorable machine new tricks.
This Aibo choco edition runa on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 840 and Amazon’s cloud-based AWS server. with that, Aibo can memorize up to 100 faces and learn an endless stream of new tricks. Aibo would also upload its experiences to the Cloud, forming a “database of memories”.
Sony has also coined the word “securitainment” to describe the concept of a cute robot dog patrolling your house. Infact the Aibo will also deliver the reports of its all day finding as well. The first new features will go live as part of the Aibo’s 2.0 software update sometime next month.
